About
i grew up with a keen interest in art and film, so much so, i studied both at university. on a whim i responded to an ad for an internship at a TV/Film production house, which would mean forgoing further post grad studies. It was actually a side interest in photography that scored me the eventual job.
It is nearly 20 years ago that i took that punt.
Over that time I have worked behind the camera in almost all avenues of media, but my preferred niche is DOP’ing Television and Documentary.
It’s a privilege being welcomed in to peoples lives, or in to extraordinary places. It is one of the main reasons i love what i do.
I also Co-run Guardianfilms.nz , where we cover all facets of production, from conceptualisation, right through to delivery.
As a freelancer i'm at times required to work solo, and at other times within a crew. I'd like to think that I am flexible, friendly, creative, and have a strong technical base.
I have my own Cameras, lighting, drone, gimbal, sound, and editing equipment. I also have access to a wide variety of other camera and grip gear. For specifics, please contact me.
